Kempinski Hotel Roof Garden is part of the overall development of the Sino Ocean Grand Canal Place. The roof garden contains an outdoor dining area for all-day dining restaurant use, an event lawn, a plaza with a stage for wedding ceremony, ornament gardens, an overflow water feature and flexible space for daily seating and event use. A wedding program is required at the roof area to host 300 guests. 

Option one features simplified linear geometry with walls and plantings area to divide the roof into different “rooms”. This “rooms” are flexible for daily hotel guest use and also for bigger event use. Option two shows a different design approach with curvy form and nature patterns. The design of the landscape bridge and feature wall provides a unique experience for the wedding. Low wall is design to increase the soil depth for tree’s health. An art shade structure is placed at event lawn for daily use and changed with wedding scene.
