Dragon Tea House is an interesting project offers wide range of challenges on site. Existing lake with very nice water quality requires special project during construction. Many existing mature trees were preserved on site. Series of retaining walls with local nature split stone texture veneer create different terraces. Pavilion, floating bridge, viewing deck provide various viewing point to the lake and places to rest. Garden design strategy focus on bring the inner garden views in interior spaces, multiple levels of cascading water will create gentle water sounds to enhance the tea experience.

Approaching to the site, experience is framed by series of space with different experience, from mountain feeling landforms, metal and stone entry gate, cherry tree grove courtyard, water terrace gardens to pedestrian bridge. Circulation is designed to connect between buildings and nature lake views.

龙潭书院对我们来说是一个特别的项目，场地有许多的挑战，其中最重要的就是保护场地原本有的景观资源：水质纯净的圣龙谭以及现状生长良好的乔木，设计的策略在于湖体边界的保护以及施工阶段避免杂质进入湖体。场地内另一个挑战是高差的变化，设计顺应地形利用自然质感的挡墙，错落成不同的台地花园，利用台阶、步行桥、坡道，连通四栋建筑之间的花园空间。

视线的控制与设计在项目里是一个设计的重点，步道动线的设计，配合亭子的方位，建筑延伸出去的平台，将内部的花园景观带入到建筑室内空间，以及将圣龙潭的湖景引入到建筑以及内部景观空间。漂浮于水上的浮桥，提供一个亲水的机会以及近距离去观察当地喀斯特地形岩石肌理的机会。
