Ningbo is well known historic port city in China, the starting point of ocean silky way.  In 2019, YIHE is honored to help Greentown to design their top brand Phoenix Mansion in Ningbo. The 8 hectare site is divided into series of rectangular shape gardens, an central axis is used as a connector to east and west gardens. A canopy walkway is used to define main north-south circulation. Carefully selected seasonal planting material is mixed with feature walls and sculpture to create the tranquil and exclusive feeling. A range of selected over 800 trees create a forest-like feeling in a dense urban core. Connected tree canopy provide shaded garden and purify the air. Water feature, wood deck, pavilion, playground.

Ground paving pattern is used to break the scale of the space. Linear strips define the spaces for movement and stay. Series of rain garden collects stormwater through gutter and drainage system.
